The Slayer

Skill: Bushcraft, Herbs, Track

Gear: Any melee weapon, a bow or a shield, a dagger, leather armor, 60' rope, 3 rations, 3 torches, Slayer's Trinket

Battle-Honed: Gain +[Templates] to Hit and DMG rolls. Also gain +2 HP with each template.

A. Stunts: If your attack roll totals 20+, you may force the target to save or suffer some effect such as being shoved, dazed (dis. on next test), grappled, disarmed, etc. If you perform a possible maneuver as your only action, the target may not save against it.

A. Menace: If you threaten a creature as an action, it must choose to fight you or flee.

B. Trophy: When you slay a creature, you may take one trophy from it. While you wear that trophy, you gain 1 feature of your choice from the creature, such as a dragon's breath, scales, or claws. If you create a new trophy, your old trophy loses its effect.

C. Flurry: You may take an extra action in combat.

D. Second Trophy: You may have two active trophies at a time.

Slayers' Trinkets:

  1. Bounty for a local monster, and a map to its lair.
  2. Animal tattoo. The pictured animal will always be friendly to you unless harmed by you or your allies.
  3. Vial of troll-blood, writhes when held by good or innocent folk.
  4. Red-jay's feather. Negate all fall damage, then make a save. On failure, the feather breaks.
  5. Grave dust. Blessed by a priest, undead may not cross it. Collecting it all takes 10 minutes.
  6. Predator's Tooth. Your attacks become critical hits on 19+, but the chosen predator is always hostile toward you.
